Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks offer height and versatility. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Regular lift trucks aren't able to move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is necessary.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to use uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would often utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is useful for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is designed to raise employees is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
