Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories which produce enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the sounds generated from the forklift itself.
The sound has to be readily discernible from other audible devices or sounds in the work setting. Sound should be readily discernible from other noise or audible devices in the work place. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care must be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made more difficult because of the use of hearing protection. Audible devices can sometimes get disabled from both operators and workers because they can find them very annoying. Furthermore, audible devices may also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Operator & Application Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass so as to avoid injuries. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit via window removal. The levels of noise are reduced at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each and every specific application, the operator could choose the performance requirement. As well, it enables a supervisor to set the utmost performance of a unit for an operator who is just learning. Being able to reduce and adjust the unit's utmost performance enables a new operator to learn the operating characteristics of the machinery in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor deactivates the model and when this occurs, it requires a supervisor to activate and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the equipment in a more controlled manner.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
